FILP began in 2019 in Sylhet, Bangladesh, funded by friends in the United Kingdom.

Why FILP exists
Dealing with life is hard, especially for orphans living in conditions the UK would consider squalor.
The Free IT Learning Project wants to help remove the boundaries facing teenagers from thirteen years old upwards, and to level the job opportunities open to people from every background.
We support teenagers when times are tough by training them in IT. It is easier when you and your family have someone behind you at every step. That is why, and how, we exist.

Raising awareness
We campaign to raise awareness and to help orphaned, poor and disadvantaged students in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Our vision
From training to employment
We work with the poorest and most disadvantaged students in Sylhet by offering education, particularly in IT and computer studies.
We train them in that area and prepare them for employment, giving them the best standard of IT skills we can source from professional trainers in the field.
We hope this lets them prove themselves with a new set of skills, and take up the outsourcing work and the professions they want.
